The NEDAP POWER ROUTER is more than just an inverter ….. it’s a fully integrated power management system delivering the ultimate complete solution in solar power management. Thanks to its “connect & grow” capability, the PowerRouter can be easily expanded with batteries for storing energy. Not only does this provide backup during a power outage, it also allows you to optimize the use of your self-generated power during normal operation.

With the POWERROUTER, you can connect to the grid to export energy to earn Feed In Tariff income, use solar energy to run your household appliances (even if the electricity grid goes down),run your household off the battery system after hours to reduce your reliance on the grid and slash electricity bills, and automatically charge the batteries from the solar power.

PowerRouter guarantees a stable and reliable energy supply. Once the batteries are connected, you have an integrated backup system to handle grid failures. You will never be dependent on energy providers again.

 

Back-Up Power supply

PowerRouter inverters have a very unique feature; it supplies back-up power in the event of a grid failure. Unlike other inverters, the PowerRouter switches to “island mode” when the grid fails and power goes out. After a short delay the inverter will resume operation, enabling its unique “Local Out” connection to supply a stable 230V AC power supply to your connected loads. This backup works solely off solar energy, and will work as long as there is sufficient solar power generated. For full back up, even at night, the PowerRouter can be easily expanded with a Battery Manager module.

 

Monitor & Manage

One of the most outstanding features of the PowerRouter is its connectivity to the internet, which comes fully integrated in the system without any extra cost.This enables you to monitor and control your solar system from anywhere, when ever you want, from any computer or mobile device

The web portal myPowerRouter.com gives detailed system information (e.g. performance, profit, solar yield etc) on each PowerRouter unit. The Powerrouter can also be remotely updated with new firmware containing the latest features, so your system is always up to date.

 

Connect & Grow Options

The POWERROUTER comes in two versions;

  1. The PowerRouter Solar Inverter, a standard inverter that is expandable to enable battery back-up at a later time by connecting the battery module (PR30S, PR37S and PR50S),
  2. The PowerRouter Solar Battery, which stores solar energy in battery banks, has a integrated battery manager, as well as automatic solar power export function.

Installation is as easy as One, Two, Three!
This system is a sleek lightweight device, wall mounted by one person with “plug and play” simplicity:
1) Fasten the mounting strip to the wall.
2) Hang the unit, which will snap and lock into place.
3) Connect cables to terminals which are neatly arranged and accessible on one side.

Monitor system performance from any location
The PowerRouter comes equipped with a display. Onboard TCP/IP facilities make it easy to monitor and manage PowerRouters remotely via the internet. Dealers, installers, utilities and other stakeholders can have access to customer’s installation energy data ensuring excellent service and support.

Solar, Wind or alternative energy source?

Most grid-tie inverters on the market include a maximum power point tracker (MPPT) on the input side that enables the inverter to extract an optimal amount of power from its intended power source. Even though these MPPT algorithms differ for solar panels and wind turbines, the Powerrouter can independently manage these two different power sources.
